Joan has lived in Lytton for thirty years with her husband, raising her two children and being an active member of the community. Her previous work included providing training programs for the long term unemployed and running a small business in the heart of the electorate.
Joan is a passionate advocate for the Bayside. Before her election, she was heavily involved in the community groups including Nursing Mothers and the Rugby Club. This strong community focus and previous experience lends her to be a keen supporter of local groups as they work hard to bring people together in the community.
As such, Joan was pleased in late 2015 to deliver upon her key election promise of returning 24 hour acute primary care services to Lytton and will continue to work with the community to strengthen healthcare and education sectors within her electorate.
