Barry has worked for over 25 years, assisting some of our most vulnerable people in our community, helping them access housing and services from government and community organisations.
Together with his wife, Sue-Ann, Barry has raised and educated their two sons locally. One of thirteen kids himself, Barry has a real understanding of the cost of living pressures facing families.
Barry knows that the cuts made by the Newman-Nicholls Government to frontline services in Rockhampton, like doctors, nurses and teachers, hit our community hard. Barry will work tirelessly to protect our frontline services and make sure local families have access to affordable and quality health, education and family support services.
Bringing more jobs to our region is a top priority for Barry. He is determined to deliver. He will stand up for us and make sure our community has the jobs, services and infrastructure we deserve.
