Shane Hamilton is a Mirani local born and bred. Having grown up on cane farms and cattle stations, his family connection to the region goes back three generations. Now Shane and his wife Anita, are raising their three children in the place they will always call home.
As a Project Manager in Coal mining maintenance, Shane understands the importance of better local jobs for his community. And with three young kids at the local school, he knows the importance of quality education. That’s why he put his hand up to run for Mirani.
As part of the Palaszczuk Labor Government’s economic recovery plan, Shane is committed to fast tracking infrastructure in the area to promote road safety, and to attract more Queenslanders back to the region.
Shane has the experience, local knowledge and energy to be a strong voice for the Mirani electorate. He is the community champion Mirani needs to deliver the Palaszczuk Government’s economic recovery plan in the region – a plan to support agriculture and business, restore local jobs, and encourage more industry to Queensland.
