Mary-Anne O'Neill - State Member for Kallangur

Mary-Anne was elected to represent the seat of Kallangur at the 2009 election.

Mary-Anne lives in the area with her partner Craig and enjoys camping, travel and motorcycle journeys.

Mary-Anne believes she can use her advocacy and negotiation skills to deliver results to Kallangur. For many years Mary-Anne has lead enterprise bargaining negotiations, and represented Queensland workers battling for a fair go.

Mary-Anne is passionate about working with communities to achieve change, through volunteering and project support having worked as a volunteer at a private orphanage created by a joint venture between the Australian, New Zealand and American Women’s Groups in the Philippines.

Mary-Anne brings the strength of experience in a wide range of industries having been a telephonist, a cleaner, a training officer, an OH&S trainer, and a manager.

As a member of the Bligh Labor Government Mary-Anne wants to improve infrastructure and access to health services and increase affordable and safe childcare and affordable housing for the residents of Kallangur.
