Carryn Sullivan - State Member for Pumicestone

Carryn was elected to State Parliament in 2001.

Carryn became interested in politics and joined the ALP twenty six years ago. She was elected to the Caboolture Shire Council as a representative for Bribie Island in 1991 and retired in 1994 to once again become a full time wife and mother. She also helped Jon while he was a member of Parliament.

Carryn has tirelessly worked for her community for almost two decades and is very involved with many non-profit groups.

She is well known for her charity work with the young, running a drug prevention program in primary schools.

Carryn also does community work with the elderly, being involved in Meals on Wheels and also a regular visitor to the local retirement village.

Carryn has been married to her husband Jon, Federal Member for Longman, for more twenty-eight and together they have two daughters.
