Stirling Hinchliffe was elected to represent the seat of Stafford in September 2006.
In 2009 Stirling was appointed as Minister for Infrastructure and Planning.
A northsider since he was four, Stirling attended at Craigslea Primary and High Schools and was later the founding president of the Chermside and Districts Historical Society. His home with wife Megan, and their three children aged 11, 9 and 3, is at West Chermside.
Currently serving as Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Premier and Minister for Infrastructure and Planning, Stirling was elected as the Member for Stafford in 2006 and was first appointed as a parliamentary secretary only 52 days later. Prior to entering the Parliament, he was a self-employed property industry analyst.
As a committed local, keenly involved in championing northside community groups, sporting clubs and businesses, Stirling is focused on addressing the concerns of Brisbane's northside about housing affordability, the impacts of infrastructure projects and access to services for families.
