Grace Grace was elected at a by-election on 13 October 2007.
Born in Brisbane Central Grace has lived in the electorate all her life.
She is married to Michael and they have a daughter Alex who attends a local high school where Grace also went to school.
Her parents and extended family also live locally.
Grace has been involved in numerous community organisations including the Queensland Community Foundation, Jupiter's Community Benefit Fund and the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre.
Grace was formerly the General Secretary of the QCU.
